FASD Housing Coordinator Project

(March 2015 – March 2018)

FASD Housing Coordinator Project locates community-based housing for youth that are involved in the youth criminal justice system and who are suspected, or affected, by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). The FASD Housing Coordinator secures appropriate housing placements for youth and supports the home providers to offer one to one support to the youth in the home in daily life functions. The focus of the project is to evaluate this program, using a logic model, theory of change, measurement framework and data gathering, analysis and interpretation.The evaluation will provide conclusions with respect to program effectiveness and efficiency and provide recommendations for future program implementation.

McMan Youth Family and Community Services Association Evaluation Framework

(March 2014 to March 2015)

The purpose of the project was to develop a Research and Evaluation Framework for McMan Calgary. The project helped 1) promote the use of quality framework and establish service quality improvement metrics; 2) review and enhance existing quality assurance plan; and, 3) to establish a framework and a quality assurance plan to include methods and tools that can be used for monitoring and evaluation of the quality of outputs and outcomes. The project activities required engagement of all McMan leadership and staff to support the implementation of continuous quality improvement cycle.

Association Community Redesign Study

(September 2012 – March 2013)

The goal of the review was to design a model of services for the youth that are as streamlined, accessible and effective as possible. The redesign recommendations were based on best practice consideration, a unified Theory of Change and aligned with FCSS Social Sustainability Framework. The study was based on a thorough document and literature review, interviews with program staff and discussions with agency management. The completed study was successfully used to support a significant expansion in the agency services.

McMan Life Skills Program Evaluation

(January 2000 – January 2001)

The goal of McMan Life Skills program is to assist street youth develop options to the street by creating greater life skills and resiliency as well as improving future employability. The evaluation included both qualitative (stakeholder assessment) and quantitative (pre-test/post-test testing) approaches.
