A System Navigator/Educator works with sexual assault survivors to access existing services and make referrals where appropriate. The System Navigator acts as a first responder, providing survivors and their support persons with timely, supportive outreach, crisis counselling, and access to transportation and other supports as needed. The System Navigator also works with key front-line workers to build their capacity to adequately address sexual violence. The evaluator worked with YWCA staff and Association of Alberta Sexual Assault Services to develop assessment, call, activity and outcome tracking tools and is responsible for implementing developmental evaluation elements and internal capacity building for accountability.
