HomeFront: Evaluation and Research Consultant
(April 2012 – March 2019)
As HomeFront’s Evaluation and Research Consultant I have developed Homefront’s long-term research plan, designed and implemented an integrated logic model, supported development of an cross-agency integrated strategic plan, developed data collection processes, supported administration of measurement tools and analyzed information gathered using those tools. I have also worked with HomeFront’s Frontline database to extract and analyze information gathered to support HomeFront’s accountability, advocacy and best practice research work.
HomeFront Evaluation
(May 2000 – September 2004)
The project focused on changes in coordination between three separate systems in addressing the issue of domestic violence: law enforcement, criminal justice and social service. Among others, the project participants represent the City of Calgary Police Department (Domestic Conflict Unit), Crown Prosecutors’ Office, Alberta Justice (Probation) and treatment agencies (e.g. Calgary Counseling Centre, YWCA Sheriff King Family Violence Prevention Centre and Discovery House). The evaluation is planned for the four-year duration and its components include: Process Evaluation (to determine the degree to which project was implemented as planned), Best Practices Review (to gather academic and program literature for direction and ideas about both process and summative components of the evaluation), development of the Program Structure and Logic Model to ensure meaningful evaluation, and Summative component (which includes collection of both output and outcome data).
